Beth Doane Founder of Andira International and Tees for TreesBeth Doane Founder of Andira International and Tees for Trees
In the ever growing eco conscious world we live in begs the big question; How do we live in harmony with the earth and not destroy the natural resources.? How do we conquor the earth and not destroy it in the process.

Beth Doane takes her passion for the environment and love for fashion on the road as she travels the world helping to create a better tomorrow for all of us.

While living overseas Beth fell in love with the world of international fashion and art and this passion prompted her to open up an import and distribution. After some time Beth felt that the company was not the direction in which she wanted to live her life and so she ventured out on a different path.. This new path led her to launh her own international brand, one that would allow her to give back and educate consumers on how they view what products they were buying.

Beth developed a design team and formulated a message to share with companies that eventually became clients. She did extensive research into how to spread the environmental message that we need to stop destroying the amazon and in essence balance out the eco system.

Beth brought pencils and markers and supplies to children in the amazon and asked them to draw what they see in their environment. The results were that very interesting designs emerged from the children and Beth put them onto tee shirts that were to be sold to raise money for Tees for Trees the company that Beth founded to help save the Amazon.

Rain tees is the brand that Beth and her company Andira International developed to help create awareness for balancing our eco system and raise money at the same time to save the Amazon and the treasures that exist within .

There are a number of things that go into producing products that can be both eco conscious and cost effective at the same time. There are non toxic inks, plastics made from corn, eco friendly shipping materials to name a few.

Beth recommends that companies figure these eco friendly products into your costs in the beginning because although the output may be more at the beginning they will become more effective in the long run. People are willing to pay more for products that are good for the earth and good for the environment at the same time.

Market research is done to break down the information and find out what makes sense for each individual company. “If we put things on our skin, the bad stuff is absorved into our blood stream.

The following excerpt is from Beth’s blog titled “Is my tee shirt toxic” How can something as basic and common as a cotton tee be harmful to our health and the health of millions of people?

Cotton makes up more than 50 percent of the world’s fiber needs, but the majority of it is grown using extremely toxic chemicals and pesticides. Some of these chemicals and pesticides are considered to be the most lethal toxins in the world.

Formaldehyde is an identified neurotoxin and carcinogen and is used in the apparel industry to set dyes in clothing.

Beth’s plan going forward to simple. “Apparel is a huge means to educate consumers to help create a greener world. Apparel is a great way to spread a message.”

“It is a joy to work with the incredible people I work with”.. I ask them how are you going to give back? What is your passion at the end of the day and how are you gong to give back to the community”

Beth conducts extensive research for her many clients to continue to help them create products that they can be proud of and that can be safe for all of us.. She is helping her clients create a better today and to ensure the future will be bright and healthy for generations to come.

Together we will make a difference. We will continue to share some tips on how to create green products in the near future.
