LETTER FROM ASCRIBE 67
I'm going to try to open out this moment, this moment in which we exist... The now, or 'The Eternal Now'...
For, we do not live in the future, and we do not live in the past... We live solely in the present.
When we do reach the future is has then become the present...
We stretch and strain into the future, often trying to pass our anxieties through our bodies, attempting to breach the barrier of physicality, and this effort, this force, can confine and increase the density of our body, through restricting flow...
It can seem that the more we strain the more likely we will achieve our future aims, by sheer effort.
But so often it happens that things do occur, when they are ready, seemingly without our current input, just like a gardener who after sowing his seeds, can turn away allowing the plants to appear without any further effort.
This ebb and flow, applying gentle effort and then relaxing, is so close to our breathing process, and this dynamic, when considered, as now, releases tension and allows the present to be enjoyed in the manner in which it exists...
For within the present exists a vast, infinite panorama of awareness, within which we can choose, in this present moment, either to be content or discontent, happy or unhappy, angry or patient... The list is long...
The more familiar we become with the present moment the more it will seem a friend, and less of an enemy from whom we are trying to wriggle and writhe away from, and the discomfort we so often feel within our bodes will subside, as we will not be at war within our bodies, our environment, and our world.
We will know peace within the present moment....
