Elise has been moving within the waves all her life.

She started dancing at the age of five and continued throughout her schooling. When she moved to NYC over 10 years ago, she fell into yoga with a classmate at school. She dove in and has been exploring yoga ever since, studying with inspiring teachers on both coasts. Some of her favorite teachers include Shiva Rea, Ramanand Patel, and Rodney Yee to name just a few. She continues to assist when possible with Shiva Rea, as well as mentor for her new trainees. In addition, she has been an integral part of Yoga Tree’s Teacher Training program since February 2007. She is registered with Yoga Alliance as 500E-RYT.

Blending vinyasa flow with healthy alignment, Elise's public classes are anatomically mindful while infused with a playful spirituality that enables students to openly explore their own boundaries, both inside and out. Her classes are infused with music, poetry, readings and life experiences, big and small. She inspires a greater compassion for the Self, while cultivating a strong and flexible physical and mental foundation to allow one to witness and sail smoothly through all the aspects of Life.
